Change of Use Analysis

When the proposed use for an existing building is significantly different from the former use, the existing building must be upgraded to provide adequate safety for the occupants of proposed use. In order to determine the scope of this work a Change of Use Analysis will be performed. Examples of proposed uses that often require an analysis are: care facilities for children or adults, schools, restaurants, medical clinics, auto repair businesses, and buildings where hazardous materials are stored or processed.

Based on the existing use classification and type of construction we will prepare a detailed analysis of the changes that will be required to convert the existing building for the new use. The analysis will highlight the specific Fire Safety, Means of Egress, and General Safety revisions required to obtain a new Certificate of Occupancy.

Changing the World one project at a time.
